Merry Spindel
I won't apologize for being a spider, unless of course, you squash me like one, in that case, I'll be all yours.
Merry Spindel is a huge, snarky goliath spider who lives in a cave in the wolf country and is Rya Koon's best friend. He was brought to the wolf country by the Silk Thread Institute, which wanted to introduce volunteer spiders to various countries.
Distinctive traits
Weirdness
Merry has a reputation for being particularly weird, he loves morbid jokes, sometimes threatens to encase people in cocoons or to eat them gruesomely like an insect would which terrifies others just because he really enjoys being a predator, and generally plays on his spidery status to terrorize people who are terrified of them and shows great creativity doing so. He tends to surprise people and has difficulty socializing. It gives him great pleasure to have power and terrorize people.
Wants to get crushed flat
Ever since a big TV fell on him when he was a child, Merry loves feeling pressure on his body and as such, works as a public mount. He used to work as a foreman, but got fired because he used huge construction blocks to crush himself. His dream is to get squashed to 1mm thick by someone someday, he purposely drops from great heights to flatten himself, and go to threaten people bigger than him on the very rare occasions when he's lucky enough to meet some. His entire fighting style is made around crushing his enemy to drive them into submission.
Blamed for being a spider
When he comes out of his cave, Merry, who lives in the wolf country, is completely out of place because he's the only spider and as such, doesn't talk the same way and doesn't have the same habits as the wolves, as a result, he's always alone. He regularly has the unconscious feeling that he's being blamed for being a spider and he doesn't know how to react to this, because out of courtesy, nobody gives him any direct complaints, and he doesn't recognize himself in the other spiders either.
His escape is to eat peoples who cause him problems because in those situations, abusing wolves is a true relief, he often gets into trouble with the Silk thread institute because of it, but it's the only way he feels better, so he keeps doing it even though he really shouldn't.
Relationships

Rya Koon
Because of her fascination for weird people and her obsession with strangeness, Rya Koon is Merry's best friend, and practically his only real relative in the wolf country, so he really loves her, and really doesn't want to quarrel with her in particular.
She regularly suffers Merry's eccentric behavior and sometimes even comes close to death because of him as he doesn't control his strength, and she's so tiny, she stays with him because she's always curious and wants to know everything about him, Merry regularly hesitates to eat her because he think she's very appetizing, but feels guilty every time and never does it because Rya is the only person who is actually adorable with him and loves him for who he is.
Deep down he loves having someone to confide in and on some occasions realizes how lucky he is to have someone who actually enjoy putting up with him, because it's very rare, without going as far as love, he really does cherish his time with her.
Marlowe Wyatt
Marlowe is Merry's doctor, but Merry often visits him to discuss various subjects, particularly Merry's situation and his distant relationship with other spiders, to get his opinion on what he should or shouldn't do and get advices on how to manage his urges.
They're not extremely close because Marlowe is not in the least social and always naturally keeps his distance, but Marlowe is very fond of Merry, whose quirkiness is to him the very embodiment of what makes him loves spiders, and Merry attaches a lot of importance to what Marlowe, who is very knowledgeable on the subject, has to say, because his advices are often fruitful.
The Silk Thread Institute
Merry lives in the wolf country because he volunteered to be sent there by the institute because he doesn't relate to the other spiders, the institute's goal with that was that there would be more spiders all over the world, he reports to them regularly and is often in contact with them to discuss matters, but even if he tries to keep a low profile, he regularly gets into trouble with the institute for his behavior whenever he eats other animals, and is often reprimanded because it tarnishes the image of spiders.
The institute tries to make Merry understand that when wolves eat rabbits, it's normal, but when a spider eats wolves, spiders are regarded abominably, which Merry doesn't understand and can't accept because he know he's no worse than a wolf, and it's predation anyway.
Merry often threatens the institute to stop the spider insertion program, but can't bring himself to do so, as he'd be abandoning Rya, his only real friend, to return to the other spiders, with whom he was never close, so he just suffers from it.
Level of power

Spider physiology - Merry has perfect balance and is never disoriented, even when moving at very high speed, he doesn't feel anything different upside down and can stay suspended for hours without the slightest problem, no matter how he moves he maintains his balance and lands exactly where he wants as if nothing had happened. This is the result of decades of walking on webs and hanging in the air. He can hold an incredibly contorted posture without tiring and his spider-like reflexes allow him to react to a sniper's bullet. His fangs are also poisonous.
Webs - We don't know exactly how strong Merry's webs are, but most of the ones in his cave have lasted for years, supporting his weight of a ton and a half without any trouble, except when he makes them fragile on purpose to tease Rya underneath him. Nevertheless, Merry can cut them instantly if he needs to. He can weave webs through his sting or mouth and can enclose a person in a cocoon in ten seconds.
Urban strength - Due to the fact that he has spent years looking for harder and harder ways to crush himself, Merry's body has become extremely resistant, falls do nothing anymore, he very quickly reaches a point where he can no longer accelerate, and an impact at this speed does nothing, and he can lift up to 12000 tons of rock. As a result of being flattened over and over, he has also developed an extraordinarily sensitive skin and is able to distinguish ink on a page with precision without even brushing against it, by closing his eyes and holding his fingers a few centimeters from a page, he can read from a book as one would in Braille. He can jump over 100km high, and at full power, it takes him over 5 minutes to jump and land again, so he must constantly measure his strength. He can blow up a house by hitting it, and could stop the sailing titanic with no problem.
Ripple - Merry's power is to create ripples by touching objects, he can reach far-off objects by stomping on the ground, for example.
Evolution of power
Each time Nermal's strength level has been known, and every time Nermal has faced and defeated an enemy stronger than he had ever faced before with their Zalmi scale at the time.
- Nermal in his early teens kill a gigantic t-rex - 31.5 meters - Small House level
Main stories
- Day zero - Merry's first day in the wolf country and the immense difficulty he has integrating into the mammalian way of life because of wolf racism.
- Raccoon-cocoon - Merry dreams that he accidentally kills Rya by squashing her, he's terrified of the possibility and has a long talk with her afterwards because he's scared and can't sleep anymore, saying he's going to try to calm down with his weirdness, which puts Rya off, who absolutely doesn't want him to, because she loves him.
- A quarrel too far - Merry argues too intensely with the Silk Thread Institute after eating a completely innocent she-wolf because he'd had a really bad day, but unlike the usual, the institute threatens to send peoples to get him back if he doesn't calm down for good and Merry panics.
- The TV show - Merry tells Rya, who came to spend the night at his place, how he got his weird crush fetish, when a TV accidentaly fell on him when he was a child, and that it's been an escalation to this day because he wants to relive it over and over.
- No job for freaks - Merry tries to get a job in the wolf country and is working hard on it, but as expected, wolves are racist and no one will work with a spider, much less merry, who has earned a monstrous reputation over time, so he eats everyone who refused him a job just to confirm the stereotype, and gets scolded by the Silk Thread Institute which receives complaints.
