Last days at the hotel is a story in which Tabaqui's mother sells the family hotel and settles further into the great jungle of Rhu.

Scenario

Tabaqui's mother sells the family hotel

  • Scene 1 - Tabaqui sees her mother getting annoyed, asks her what's wrong, and learns that her mother is thinking of closing the hotel, or moving it elsewhere. Tabaqui disagrees and tries to argue, but his mother has already made up her mind.
  • Scene 2 - Tabaqui finds her mother talking to a banker and sees her mother selling the hotel. Tabaqui, a little frustrated, goes to talk to his mother, who tells him that they're going to move to the center of the jungle, as there are fewer dwellings, and therefore more likely to have people seeking refuge.
  • Scene 3 - Tabaqui and his family leave their hotel as it is, with other people starting to move in, and Tabaqui feels he is leaving something important behind, and is sad to leave the building.

Tabaqui and his mother explore the jungle

  • Scene 4 - During their journey, Tabaqui's mother almost falls into a chasm that has formed just below her in real time, as if to suck her in, Tabaqui manages to pick her up with his tail, and they learn that the forest is much more dangerous than they thought, and that there's a reason why there are no dwellings in the center.
  • Scene 5 - Tabaqui and his mother arrive in a very bluish part of the forest, inhabited by spirits who threaten them if they keep going, but do nothing to them, but it goes on for a really long time, and it's starting to get to Tabaqui, who can't hug anyone any more. He talks to his mother about the effect it's having on him, but realizes as he talk that it's affecting his mother too, but that he can't do anything about it and will have no choice but to get used to it.
  • Scene 6 - In the very center of the jungle, the family almost die several times in a row, and never seem to have a moment's rest, as if everything were a constant threat to their lives, and they live a real nightmare that lasts several days.
  • Scene 7 - However, as time goes by, Tabaqui's mother's hotel welcomes many more people than before, and Tabaqui comes to realize a few things about the lemurs' relationship with the jungle.
