Gatto's feelings arc

Gatto's Feelings arc is the first arc in Kitty Pride, and tells the story of how Gatto got robbed of her feelings, and her quest to get them back, until she was interrupted by SkullCat.

Detailled scenario

Gatto discovers the world around her

Gatto wakes up on another planet and meets Drake, a fox who has been watching over her while she slept, she gets to know him and visits the area with him. During their exploration, Drake teaches Gatto magic and she tries to eat the mice she sees by instinct, but Drake stops her, and together they also save Bakura from the assaults of a wolf.

Gatto and Drake visit the house of nostalgia

After a while, Drake and Gatto meet Fineas, Gatto's adopted brother, who explains that he is Gatto's nostalgia and invites them to come home. The house turns out to be a perfect replica of the one Gatto grew up in as a child. Fineas takes Gatto aside, while Drake visits the house on his own, finding many things that evoke nostalgic memories for Gatto, such as her favorite cartoons, or her toy box. After a while, Drake notices that something is wrong with Fineas's behavior towards Gatto, and accuses Fineas of having killed Gatto's parents. Fineas gets scared and flees into the house's basement.

Drake and Gatto visit the basement and Fineas dies

As they explore the basement, Drake and Gatto realize that Gatto's parents mistreated Fineas and that he ran away from their house, Drake eventually realizes that in reality, Fineas has mixed his memories with those he made Gatto collect in the house, so that she hates her parents as he hated them.

Drake and Gatto confront Fineas to recover Gatto's true nostalgic memories, after which Nermal intervenes and kills Fineas by walking on him.

Drake and Gatto cross the green path, meeting people along the way

Leaving the nostalgia house, Drake and Gatto cross a small meadow that leads them to their cave home, where they find all their belongings, which allows Gatto to understand how she lived with him, she loved to draw and sew plushies, and Drake is a cook, pushing their exploration to the bottom of the cave, Drake and Gatto approach the underground city of Flightown.

Gatto and Drake explore Flightown to find Gatto's fear

Arriving in Flightown, Drake and Gatto come across Bakura, whom they saved from a wolf attack earlier and who joins their group. The small group visits Flightown, in which the 5 sons of fear are scattered, all of whom tell Gatto something of the hell she went through after the death of her parents, and also tell Gatto that the talking tattoo on Nermal's belly is currently searching for a body and that the children of fear were created to give him a choice. Fear kills one of his sons, Nermal appears and steals his body, giving birth to SkullCat, the green gelatinous zombie cat.

The group explores the abyss of tears

Not having defeated fear yet, the group leaves Flightown and arrives at the Abyss of tears, the realm of sadness, where Drake and Bakura are separated from Gatto immediately. Gatto visits the abyss alone without her two friends and understands that she was very unhappy not to have magic before, and that it was Nermal who gave her her powers. She also relives her encounter with Drake, which she remembers as a very sad event. Meanwhile, Drake and Bakura discuss Bakura's problems with her father, and set off to find Gatto.

The reunited group finishes exploring the Abyss of Tears without finding sadness, and arrives at the Train of tears, which they embark on. On the train, Fear attacks them and the group kills him, Gatto recovers her fear, at the same time Bakura reveals herself to be Gatto's Sadness without having known it, and SkullCat intervenes to force Gatto to kill her.

Drake tries to stop SkullCat, but he's far too strong, and he escapes from the train.

The group explores the wool forest

The train arrives at the wool forest, at the entrance of which Gatto and Drake bury Bakura and find a cave to sleep in for the night.

When she wakes up, Gatto is alone in a bed, in a room she doesn't know, and hears wolf howls in the background. She goes downstairs and sees that Bakura is on the ground floor of the house, very much alive, without explanation, and doesn't remember a thing. On her way out of the house, Gatto sees Drake and Joly, Drake's mother, who explains to Gatto that she has brought Bakura back with her powers. Gatto explains to Joly that she's actually the one who killed her parents.

The group decide what to do next, and set off to confront SkullCat, as this would allow Gatto to regain all her feelings at once without having to kill anyone anymore. The group then heads off through the wool forest.

The final battle between Drake and SkullCat

When the group arrives at the Wool crater, where Nermal and SkullCat are nesting, SkullCat sends Bakura to fight the remaining 4 Sons of Fear, whom she manages to defeat on her own, and he decides to take care of Drake and Gatto himself. This time, however, Drake and Gatto manage to defeat him, thanks in part to Gatto's power, which is far more powerful than Drake thought it was.

However, Nermal himself intervenes, kills Drake in a single blow with his disproportionate power and kidnaps Gatto, bringing to a premature conclusion Gatto's hunt for feelings, trapped as she is with only nostalgia, sadness and fear.
