The hunting ground screen in Kitty Pride.

Hunting grounds are areas where the player can confront enemies and get food very quickly.

The player must select cards from a hand, which triggers actions, until there are no more cards in the deck, the number remaining of which is indicated at bottom left.

Various information is shown on the right, including the amount of food the player has collected, the characters stats, or the stats of the card the player is hovering over, as well as a map of the area.

There are three main hunting grounds over the course of the game at Flightown, in the wool forest and in Catty woods, and an optional one in Lucia's labo that can be unlocked once her and Nessie's side quests have been completed. It allows players to face the game's most powerful bosses once again.

Card types

Card name Usage
Exit card Allows the player to move forward in the map.
Blocked exit card The player must use the power of his characters to destroy the door and advance, but he skips a turn, allowing the enemies to become more powerful.

If the player has not destroyed the door when the deck is empty, the player has lost.

Rival card Triggers a fight against an enemy and wipes all cards from the hand when selected. If not selected, the enemy eats food and gains power. The enemy automatically attacks the player if it runs out of food.
Rivals card Identical to the rival card, but the player must face a series of enemies. Wipes all cards from the hand.
Boss card Triggers a fight against a very powerful enemy. Wipes all cards from the hand.
Hunt card Gives food to the player. Wipes all cards from the hand except enemies.
Fish card Gives food to the player. Wipes all cards from the hand except enemies.
Harvest card Gives food to the player. Wipes all cards from the hand except enemies.
Bonus card Increases the hand size by one card. Wipes all cards from the hand except enemies.
